A resin set of plugs and chocks for a Su-27 model in 1:48 scale from the Russian brand Temp Models. This group of parts covers the openings on the airframe and the chocks that keep the machine from moving on the flight line. The set is printed in resin and is meant for a finished model. It is not an aircraft kit.
A parked combat aircraft is never left completely open. The air intakes, the nozzles and other openings are covered, so that water, dust or birds do not get in, and the wheels are secured, so that the machine does not roll away. On the Su-27 the air intakes are large and low above the ground, so the covers are clearly visible. On a model this fit gives away at once that this is a scene from an airfield, not an aircraft in the air.
Release the parts from the supports with a new blade and over a working surface. Sand the mating faces, so that a cover sits tightly and no gap is left around it. Wash the resin in lukewarm soapy water before painting. The covers tend to be brightly colored, often with streamers, so they bring a welcome touch of color to a finished model.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
