A resin set of plugs and chocks for a model of the Su-34 strike aircraft in 1:48 scale from the Russian brand Temp Models. It holds the equipment that the ground crew puts on a parked machine: covers for the openings on the airframe and chocks that keep it from moving. The set is printed in resin and belongs with a finished model; it is not an aircraft kit.
The Su-34 is a heavy strike aircraft with a wide armored cockpit in which the crew sits side by side. On the flight line its air intakes, nozzles and other openings are covered and the wheels are secured with chocks. The covers tend to be brightly colored with streamers, so that a technician cannot overlook them before a launch, and on a model they form a marked contrast against the gray-blue finish of the machine.
Release the parts from the supports with a new blade over a working surface. Sand the mating faces, so that a cover sits down with no gap. Wash the resin in lukewarm soapy water before painting. Spray the covers separately and fit them only once the weathering is finished. The streamers can be suggested with a thin strip of foil.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
