A resin airfield standing ladder for the MiG-31 in 1:48 scale from the Russian brand Temp Models. It serves the crew for getting in and out and the ground crew for working on the cockpit. Printing in resin holds the thin rungs and the frame in one piece, so there is no building the structure up from wire. It is not an aircraft model but an accessory for an airfield scene.
The MiG-31 is a large two-seat machine with its cockpits set high above the ground, so the crew cannot reach their places without a ladder brought up to the aircraft. On the flight line it therefore goes with a tall wheeled structure that the ground crew take away to one side only just before the engines are started. It is by that structure that a viewer gets an idea of how large this aircraft really is.
Release the thin parts from the supports carefully, with a new blade and over a working surface. Sand the burrs with fine abrasive paper, wet. Assemble the structure on a flat surface and glue it with cyanoacrylate glue, otherwise the ladder will stand crooked. After the base color suggest chipping on the edges and settle dust on the feet with pigment.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
