The set holds resin figures of Russian Navy ground crew in 1:48 scale. It is not an aircraft kit but an accessory for a deck scene with a model of a carrier aircraft. The clothing of deck crew differs from that of land-based technicians, and that shows on the figures.
Work on the deck of an aircraft carrier has rules of its own and a look of its own. The crew wear color-coded jerseys according to their role, so that in the noise and the cramped space it is clear who is doing what. Movement around an aircraft is quick and precise, because the space is limited and the machine has to be made ready in a short time. Figures in this clothing therefore give a scene not only a sense of scale but also an unmistakable place on the deck.
Wash the 3D-printed figures in warm soapy water and cut the print supports away with a sharp blade, carefully around the fingers and the gear. Sand them with respiratory protection and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Apply a thin primer as the base, paint the faces and hands with a brush and lighten the shades step by step, and finish the clothing with a dark wash in the folds. Add gloss varnish to the helmet and the visor.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
