Russian Aerospace Forces pilot figures, set No. 12, 1:48 is a set of resin figures of Russian Aerospace Forces pilots in current gear, in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set holds resin figures of Russian Aerospace Forces pilots in current gear, in 1:48 scale. It is neither an aircraft model nor a kit, but an accessory for a finished model or for an airfield scene. The manufacturer keeps the figures in numbered sets and this one carries the number 12.
The gear of a current Russian fighter pilot consists of a flight suit, a pressure suit, a survival vest and a helmet with a visor and an oxygen mask. The details of the vest and of the way the mask is fastened have changed over recent years, so they are exactly what tells you which period a scene belongs to. A figure placed next to a model shows the real size of the aircraft at once. In a diorama it also gives the whole scene a story.
Wash the 3D-printed figures in warm soapy water and cut the print supports away with a sharp blade, carefully around the fingers and the gear. Sand them with respiratory protection and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Apply a thin primer as the base, paint the faces and hands with a brush and lighten the shades step by step, and finish the flight suit with a dark wash in the folds. Add gloss varnish to the helmet and the visor.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
