Responsibility details are not available.
A volume from the aircraft series of weathering publications by AMMO of Mig Jimenez, listed under the abbreviation TWA. Its subtitle defines it as an overview of the essentials, that is as an explanation of the basic procedures of weathering on aircraft models rather than a collection of individual tricks. The edition is in English, which the title states explicitly.
An aircraft wears differently from ground equipment. It is not covered by a layer of mud, but the traces of service stay on it: worn places around the panels the ground crew touches daily, smoke trails behind the exhausts, oil that has run along the engine cowling, a faded upper surface and a dented skin. It is precisely the distinction between what is dirt and what is wear of the material that makes the biggest difference on a model.
Proceed in layers and let them dry between one another. Always relate an effect to the direction in which liquid would run or air would flow over the real aircraft, that is backwards and downwards. Choose the degree more sparingly than seems necessary while working; from a distance, overdone weathering looks like a grubby model rather than a flying machine. Try a new effect first in a less conspicuous place, on the underside of a wing for instance, and only then move it up to where everyone notices it first.
For the aircraft modeler who wants to understand the procedures rather than merely copy them and does not mind an English text. This is a printed publication; paints, pigments, tools and a model are not part of its contents, unless stated otherwise.
