Thirty-five dense tufts of straw-light grass six millimeters tall for dioramas and figure bases.
Responsibility details are not available.
The straw tone belongs to the end of summer, when the growth on a field margin dries out before the first heavy rains come. This variant has its fibers packed closer together than an ordinary beige tuft of the same height, so a single piece looks like a proper clump and covers a noticeably larger piece of terrain.
The fiber measures six millimeters, and there are thirty-five pieces in the package. In large scales grass grows from it that reaches above an infantryman's ankle, while in smaller ones the same tuft behaves more like a low bush by a road. The quantity is enough for a medium scene or for a whole set of bases for one unit.
The dense variant suits places where the grass is meant to dominate. Along a track, at the foot of a telegraph pole or in a corner where nobody walks, the growth is at its strongest, whereas by a worn path thinner pieces look more convincing. By alternating the two types an area gains the rhythm a real landscape has.
In color this shade goes with the ocher and grayish tones of dust. Once everything is dry, go over the bottoms with a dry pigment in the tone of the surrounding soil. The boundary between the growth and the ground disappears with that, and the scene stops looking as though the grass had been laid onto it from above.
