A themed paint set from the IONIC range put together for the uniforms of the United States Marine Corps in the Pacific fighting of 1942 to 1945.

This themed paint set from the IONIC range is aimed at the uniforms of the United States Marine Corps in the Pacific fighting between 1942 and 1945. The working uniform of sturdy twill was worn in green tones, the helmet usually had a cloth cover with a camouflage pattern and the canvas equipment tended to be lighter than the clothing. The final impression of a figure lives precisely on the difference between the cloth of the garment, the canvas of the webbing and the leather parts of the boots, so a matched palette saves half the work.
Stir the container properly before picking the paint up; settled pigment is normal in modeling paints. Lay the paint on in thin coats and let each one dry; one heavy coat floods the seams, pockets and folds, which are the only things visible on a small figure from a distance. Put the base tone on the whole part of the garment, let a darker one drop into the folds and draw the lightest one over the edges only. The thinner intended for this range and the thinning ratio are stated by the manufacturer on the packaging and those instructions take precedence. Wash the brush right after work, as dried paint is far harder to get out of the hair.
For modelers who build the Pacific theater and want their figures matched in one palette, and for those who do not want to put shades together one at a time. The green and canvas tones come into their own beyond the stated theme too, anywhere you need military cloth, webbing or footwear.
The number of shades, their names and the volume of the containers are stated by the manufacturer on the packaging of the set. Figures, a model and painting tools are not included, unless stated otherwise.
