A marker pen of the Gundam Marker line filled with a gold shade, manufacturer code XGM08, the shade carried under the name Yellow Gold. It is a warm yellow gold, that is the classic gold tone with a distinct shift toward yellow. The tip applies the paint directly, so there is no palette, no thinning and no setting up of an airbrush.
A deep gold tone is used on decorative elements that are meant to be seen at first glance: on the rims and frames of covers, on emblems, on the buckles and fittings of gear, on weapon grips and on the small accessories of figures. On robot models it also serves to set the moving joint parts apart from the armor around them.
Shake the marker thoroughly before work, as the metallic pigment settles in the filling. Prime the tip by pressing it several times on a plastic offcut, until the paint flows evenly. Apply thin coats in continuous strokes in one direction and let the surface dry between them. On narrow rims it is cleaner to squeeze the paint out onto a spare tile and lead it with a fine brush than to work with the tip.
The package holds the marker in the stated finish. The model, further shades, varnishes and tools are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise. Work in a well-ventilated room and store the marker out of the reach of children.
