Responsibility details are not available.
An embossing plate of etched brass from the Polish maker Aber, pattern number 13. Compared with the more squarish plates of this range it has an elongated shape with a working area of 140 x 39 mm, so in one impression it will manage a long narrow strip. The principle stays the same: you lay thin material on the etched pattern, burnish it and the texture is transferred. The plate is not built into a model; it is a tool.
The main advantage of the elongated format is that you avoid joining up. Cut the material to the full length straight away and watch that it lies flat over the whole area, as long strips bow easily. Burnish steadily from one end to the other, not in jumps. Store the finished strip straightened out, not rolled up. When gluing it to the model, fix it down step by step so that a long part does not go wavy.
For modelers of vehicles and diorama builders who need long strips of texture without visible joints, and for workshops where a general-purpose tool usable across projects comes in handy. The elongated format complements the more squarish plates of the same range well, because each shape suits a different kind of part.
This is a modeling tool, not a kit. Material for transferring the pattern is not included in the package.
