Responsibility details are not available.
A brass die measuring 140 x 77 mm, that is roughly twice the area of the smaller plates of the same range. The surface carries a precisely etched repeating relief, which the maker describes as a German type from the period of the Second World War. The plate is not a part of a model - it is a tool with which the modeler creates a textured sheet from thin foil himself. For this plate the maker, the Polish firm Aber, recommends the large scales 1:24 and 1:25, because the size of the relief is matched to that range.
Above all on large models of German military vehicles from the period of the Second World War, where the surface texture is clearly visible on account of the scale and smooth plastic looks unsatisfactory. It will also come into its own in dioramas and in building your own parts, whenever you need a coarser, distinct texture. This is period equipment, which modelers build for historical and collecting reasons.
For builders of large scales and for modelers working by the scratchbuilding method. The plate is durable and usable over and over.
The etched edges of the brass can be sharp - handle with care and keep out of the reach of small children. Foil, glue and paints are not included in the package.
