Wall-mounted lights intended for above the doorways and doors of models of buildings in HO scale, that is, 1:87. They belong to the Just Plug system, which the manufacturer built so that lighting a layout or a diorama manages without soldering and without working out series resistors. A miniature LED is built into the light and a thin lead terminated with a plug runs from the body, which is simply pushed into a Just Plug hub. You therefore get the light finished and fitted; nothing has to be assembled or glued together.

How the system works

The Just Plug hub and the power supply are sold separately and are necessary for operation. Every output of the hub has its own brightness control, so you set the intensity of each light separately, from a barely noticeable glow to full brightness. That matters on a model: an unregulated LED in 1:87 scale usually looks over-lit and the scene loses its mood. An LED practically does not heat up and has a long life, so it can be built even into a place that is hard to reach later.

• above the front doors of houses, shops and workshops
• on the facade of a station building, a warehouse or an engine shed
• at side and rear entrances, which tend to be overlooked on models
• on the wall of a yard or a ramp, where light is to suggest night operation

Neither the Just Plug hub nor the power supply is included in the package, unless stated otherwise. Run the lead freely so that it is not under tension, and prepare the hole for the lead to pass through the model in advance.
