This is an accessory, not a kit. The package contains a thin metal fret with small technical parts created by photo-etching, which are held in it on fine bridges and are cut out only at the moment of use. The designation two tells this variant apart from the other frets of the range with different shapes and motifs.

Photo-etched parts solve a long-standing limitation of injection-molded plastic: its edges cannot be arbitrarily thin, so small details look massive. Etched metal is against that very thin and sharp, and so it suits panels, covers, grilles and other additions that are meant to look faithful. A universal fret is moreover not intended for a single model; you choose a part by shape and size and glue it where you want it. It pays to try the placement dry first and only then to reach for the glue.

Use

• Try the placement of a part dry, and only then cut it out.
• Cut with a sharp scalpel against a hard surface, not by twisting and breaking.
• Sand the remains of the bridges with a fine file, so that the part sits down flat.
• For bends use an etching bender or a straight metal edge.
• Glue with cyanoacrylate glue; on larger parts with two-part epoxy.
• Before painting, degrease the metal and use a base intended for metal.
