A plastic kit of the F-14D Tomcat in the cute style (Compact Series) in the colors of the VF-31 Tomcatters from the last cruise of 2006.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Grumman F-14D Tomcat carrier fighter in the caricatured egg or deformed style of the Compact Series from Freedom Model Kits. The model has no fixed scale; the proportions are cutely shortened but they keep the typical features of the Tomcat. The package commemorates the last combat deployment, the Last Cruise of 2006, of the American squadron VF-31 Tomcatters.
The Grumman F-14 Tomcat was an American supersonic carrier fighter with a variable-geometry wing, famed for its role as a fleet defender. The F-14D Super Tomcat version was the most modern variant, with new engines and avionics; the VF-31 Tomcatters squadron flew Tomcats until they were withdrawn in 2006.
Cut the parts off and join them with liquid cement for plastic, then fill and sand the joints. The caricatured shape simplifies the build; movable elements often include the wings and other parts. Use a base and lay the colors on according to the scheme; the small national insignia are finished with decals.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
