The F-16 Fighting Falcon is a single-engine multirole fighter that serves in many countries and has seen a long run of production versions. The letter D marks the two-seat version, in which the crew sit one behind the other under a shared canopy. The Block 50 designation belongs to one of the later production versions. The two-seat version has a differently arranged cockpit and fuselage spine from the single-seater, and accessories for it are therefore not interchangeable with those for the C version.

Go through the whole of the instructions first. Add-on sets are often fitted in a different order from the one the build follows according to the kit, and some parts are glued before the fuselage is closed. Degrease the surfaces before gluing and try the parts dry first. Apply super glue in minute drops with a needle; its fumes can fog clear parts, so fit the canopy last of all and let the glue gas off properly beforehand.
