AFV Club F-CK-1A Ching Kuo is a cute aircraft kit in the egg model style. The caricatured shape with a big head and a short fuselage keeps the recognizable features of the Taiwanese fighter, and the model has no scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
This plastic kit from AFV Club belongs to the range of cute models (egg model, Q version). The aircraft is deliberately stylized into an amusing form with an oversized front end and a shortened fuselage, yet it keeps the characteristic features of the real subject. The model has no real scale; it is a caricatured rendering. The package usually also contains a pilot figure and a decal sheet.
The real subject is the AIDC F-CK-1 Ching Kuo, a Taiwanese multirole fighter known as the Indigenous Defense Fighter. It first flew at the end of the 1980s and entered service in the 1990s with the Republic of China Air Force. It is marked by a pair of jet engines and modern aerodynamics.
Thanks to the smaller number of parts, an egg model also suits a relaxing build. Glue the plastic parts with thin cement for plastic and sand the seams if needed. On this type the landing gear can as a rule be built in the extended as well as the retracted position. An airbrush and a brush are both suitable for painting, and the enclosed decals add the small markings.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
