On a displayed model the wheels are close to the viewer and tend to be the first place where the difference between a quick build and a careful one shows. A separate set of wheels is therefore among the fastest ways to lift a model: only a few parts are swapped and the rest of the build stays as it is. Try the parts dry first and check how they seat on the landing gear legs. Make sure the model stands level on all the wheels once it is down and that the axles point symmetrically; a wheel set crooked shows from every angle on a finished model. Cut the excess material off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the remainder carefully. Cement for polystyrene generally has no effect on the parts of accessory sets, so choose a suitable glue according to the manufacturer instructions.
Wash and degrease the parts before painting, otherwise the paint will not hold on the surface. It pays to paint the tire and the hub separately and to set the line between them with a mask; on finished landing gear the wheel is hard to reach. Fit them only once they are painted and dry.
The aircraft kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise. The exact make-up of the set and the number of parts are given by the manufacturer in the instructions.
