Deep red fall turf of coarse grain, shaker jar holding 945 cm³. For maples, ivy and leaves on the ground.

Of the whole fall range, red is the color to handle most carefully. A large area of deep red growth looks false on a model, because in nature only a few species take on that color, and always only for part of the season. As an accent, on the other hand, it has no rival: a single red tree in an otherwise yellow green wood draws the eye at once and the scene stops being flat. It serves just as well where Virginia creeper climbs a wall, or for a band of fallen leaves under a crown.
The container holds 945 cm³ of material, in inch measure 57.7 cubic inches. The sieve in the lid meters the amount as you sprinkle and keeps the contents from spilling out all at once. For small accents it is still better to tip a little onto a piece of paper first and pick the material up from there with a wooden stick.
The grain corresponds to the coarse grade, so the material forms a structure of its own on the surface and does not merge into the base. Once the binder has cured the excess can be tapped off and stored again. While working it helps to look at the scene from a few steps away, because up close the intensity of the color is underrated and from a distance the result usually turns out stronger than the modeler intended.
