Kuuga belongs to the long line of masked heroes Kamen Rider, who have been at home in Japanese popular culture since the 1970s. Their hallmarks are a helmet with large eyes and antennae and a broken-up suit with a belt across the waist. With a model of a character what therefore counts above all is the cleanliness of the joints on the surfaces on view and the exact masking of the fields of color on the chest and the helmet. The item belongs to the Figure Rise modeling line, named in the title.

Keep to the order of the steps given in the instructions, because the joints under the arms and behind the torso are hard to reach later.
Cut the surplus material away with a sharp blade a little from the part and sand the trace of the cut back. Wash and degrease the plastic before painting. The fields of color on the suit come out best over masking tape stuck down before spraying, rather than by touching the edges in with a brush. The eyes of the helmet are done last: a gloss varnish or a clear color on them does more than the most carefully chosen shade. Detail in the recesses is brought out by a thin dark wash laid on once the base color has dried.
