Fine modeling drill bits with a pivot point in the range 0.9 to 1.5 mm. The point keeps the bit in place where the hole is meant to begin.
Responsibility details are not available.
Drilling small holes goes with almost every build: holes for gun barrels and exhaust tubes, pass-throughs for wiring and brake lines, mountings for grab handles, pins and antennas, suggesting drain holes or preparing a hole for the spigot of a photo-etched part. The range 0.9 to 1.5 mm covers exactly this kind of small work on models of vehicles, aircraft and ships.
The tip of the bit is tapered to a point that bites into the surface before the cutting edge itself starts to cut. The bit therefore will not run off to the side even on a curved surface and the hole begins exactly where it should. Without a point, a bit wanders on smooth plastic and the mark left by the wandering is hard to remove from the surface.
For builders who complete models with details of their own, and for work with accessory sets where accurate holes have to be prepared. Their use is not tied to one scale. The exact composition of the package and the diameter of the shank are given on the manufacturer's packaging.
A bit holder, a drill and a model are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
