Scenic foliage for building dioramas and bases, an item carrying the code FM-03.
Responsibility details are not available.
Foliage is a loose scenic material with which the leaves on a diorama are created: tree canopies, low bushes, climbing growth and growth on embankments and among ruins. The difference between a bare tree armature and a finished tree is made by precisely this layer, because in a scene the eye does not read the individual leaves but the texture and the spread of color of the surface. The package carries the code FM-03, by which the item is distinguished from the other items in the same line.
First coat the surface or the armature with glue, usually white glue thinned with water to a runny consistency. Sprinkle the material straight onto the wet glue or dip it into the glue and let the excess fall onto paper laid underneath; the shaken-off remainder can be used again. If the growth is to hold even when touched by a finger, go over it again at the end with thinned glue, ideally sprayed, so that the texture does not collapse.
Work in layers and mix the shades slightly with one another; a uniform area of a single tone looks artificial. Choose the density according to the scale of the scene you are building in, because in a small scale leaves quickly become coarse. The extent of the package and the exact shade are stated on the box.
What is supplied is the scenic material. Glue, a base, tree armatures and paints are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
