This is not a kit but an aftermarket detail set from the Kelik brand. It is made up of 3D-printed, fully colored interior elements on thin self-adhesive decal paper. They complete the cockpit of a model of the F/A-18A Hornet carrier-borne multirole fighter in 1:48 scale with a convincing instrument panel, side consoles and cockpit details.
The McDonnell Douglas F/A-18A Hornet was the first production version of the successful American carrier fighter, able to fly both fighter and strike missions. It was marked by its two engines, a modern digital cockpit with displays and high agility. It served with both the US Navy and the Marine Corps and became the basis of the whole Hornet family.
The individual elements are cut out, lifted off the backing and applied straight onto the cockpit parts. It is a good idea to degrease the surface; the displays and dials come into their own once a drop of gloss varnish has been brushed over them. The set is a quick replacement for photo-etched parts.
This is an accessory for a model, not a standalone kit. The base model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
