Orange gaming cubes 8 mm to an edge from Green Stuff World. They are used as general-purpose markers and counters in board and tabletop games. The name gives two details: the shade and the length of the edge. The rest of the particulars about the package are given by the manufacturer on the packaging.
A gaming table tends to be dark. Neoprene mats, hills, ruins and painted figures mostly have earthy tones and blue-gray shadows, and in surroundings like that a small dark token simply disappears. Orange, against that, is a signal color with high contrast, so it shows up even among terrain and in photographs of a game. It therefore suits values that must not be forgotten and markers that even a player sitting on the other side of the table has to find.
For tabletop players with dark mats and terrain and for anyone who wants one color in a game reserved purely for warnings. The 8 mm cube fits even into a tight spot on the board. If you use orange as a warning marker, do not give it the role of an ordinary resource at the same time, so that the meanings do not start to compete.
