The set is put together for one theme: for models of German fighters from the late period of the Second World War. It gathers products for showing wear and traces of service, so the modeler does not have to put the combination together item by item. The make-up of the set and the way the individual products are applied and thinned are given in the manufacturer's instructions on the packaging.
Machines from the end of the war looked different from the carefully maintained aircraft of the first war years. The finishes were applied in a hurry and their quality varied. Hard service from field airfields was added to that: mud on the landing gear and on the underside of the wing, exhaust marks trailing along the sides of the fuselage, a worn wing root and paint rubbed away around the panels that the mechanics reached every day. It is exactly these small things that turn a model into a machine that really flew.
Wear is built up in layers. First let the base coat and the markings dry perfectly and unify the surface, then bring out the recesses and the engraving, and only at the end come dust, mud and traces of service fluids. Work sparingly and in small steps, because taking away is always harder than adding, and remove any excess right away rather than after it has dried. Leave the matte clear coat until the very end, or further layers are harder to correct under it.
A model and the tools for applying the products are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
