A set of shades from the IONIC range for mecha models, listed under the designation Mecha Mobile Suit - Red colors.
Responsibility details are not available.
A group of paints from the IONIC range, part number IONIC-0455. The name places it with mecha models, that is with piloted robotic machines, and marks the color scheme with the word Red. Sister items of the same range carry the designations Freedom, Green colors and Classic colors, so these are sets always built for one color scheme. How many shades the set contains and which they are is stated by the manufacturer on the packaging.
The surface of a robot kit is made up of large smooth panels separated by sharp edges, so every unevenness in the coat is obvious at first glance. The paint has to lie evenly, and the boundaries of the color fields are not blended with a brush but masked off. Red adds a property it is worth allowing for in advance: saturated red tones generally cover worse than dark ones, so it pays to lay a lighter base under them and build them up with two or three thin coats. A set built for one combination saves the deliberation over which tones hold up next to each other.
Stir the paint thoroughly before work, the pigment settles at the bottom. Apply it thinly and add the next coat only once the previous has dried; one heavy coat clogs the engraved joints and the fine relief. Choose the thinner and the thinning ratio according to the manufacturer's instructions on the packaging, as more thinning is needed for an airbrush than for a brush. Stick masks on a perfectly dry coat and lift them slowly, so that they do not pull the paint off at the edge. Flush the tools right after finishing work.
The package holds a set of shades according to the manufacturer's data. The model, thinner, masks and brushes are not included, unless stated otherwise.
