A kit from the Japanese production of Bandai built on snap-fit technology: the parts are joined by snapping together and hold without glue. The frames are molded in several colors, so the model makes sense even without being sprayed and the basic colors correspond to the real subject straight after assembly. The articulated joints allow the model to be posed once it is finished, unlike a classic static model.
Getter Dragon is one of the robots from the continuation of the classic Japanese series Getter Robo. The Infinitism range reworks the older robot designs into contemporary, technically more broken-up shapes with sharper edges, a pronounced silhouette and a modern layout of panels. Getter Dragon typically has massive wings and a robust torso, which bring out this styling well.
Cut the parts off with nippers in two stages: first at a distance from the part, then clean the gate remnant up close to the surface — you will save yourself whitening of the plastic. Use a feel for the joints, as snap-fit joints can be broken with too much force. Anyone who wants to go further takes the model apart into sub-assemblies before painting, sprays it with primer and uses acrylic paints; the seams are usually left visible on these kits, because dealing with a joint is laborious with colored parts. Apply the stickers or decals only right at the end and unify the finished model with a matte or semi-matte clear coat, which will reduce the shine of the bare plastic.
The model is supplied unassembled. Stickers, paints and accessories beyond the contents of the box are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
