Grass Strips 12 mm - Burnt Brown

Grass Strips 12 mm, Burnt Brown (Green Stuff World)

This is a scenic accessory for building terrain, not a kit. The package contains strips with model grass fibers 12 millimeters long in a burnt brown shade, that is, in the tone of tall, dried or sun-scorched vegetation. The strips replace the laborious application of static grass with an applicator: they suit the edges of paths, fences and low walls, field margins and the bases of figures, wherever an even band of growth has to be created quickly. The exact number of strips in the package, their dimensions and the way they attach to the base are not stated here.

Use

• Cut the strip to the length you need and glue it to the base; an irregularly trimmed edge looks more natural than a straight line.
• Combine several shades and fiber lengths, because a uniform area of a single color looks artificial.
• Once glued down, comb the fibers with your fingers or a bristle brush so that they stand up and break up.
• Mask the transition between the strip and the base with loose turf, sand, grit or pigment.
• The shade can be tuned with very thin paint or with pigment applied from a distance, so that the fibers do not lie down.
• The burnt brown shade suits summer and autumn scenes, dry ground and neglected areas; for fresh scenery, mix it with green tones.

Who the accessory is for

For builders of dioramas and display case scenes, for tabletop gamers who work on the bases of figures and for railroad modelers. Working with the strips needs no static grass applicator and no experience: it is the fastest route to decent-looking growth. The accessory can be combined with the other shades of the same range.

This is not a toy; keep it out of the reach of small children. When gluing, work in a well-ventilated room and apply the glue to the base, not to the fibers.
