Grassing a larger area tuft by tuft takes a long time. Grass strips shorten this work: the growth is arranged in advance into a continuous band that only has to be placed on the base and tuned. The fiber length of twelve millimeters and the shade are carried by the name of the item; the width of the strip, the overall length and the way it is fastened you will not find in it, so they are not stated here.

When to reach for the light green

The light tone matches fresh spring growth and young grass that has not yet managed to darken under the summer sun. It comes into its own on areas flooded with light, by watercourses and in meadows. In combination with darker shades depth arises: the lighter fibers belong on raised places and at the edges, the darker ones in the hollows and in the shadow behind obstacles.

Working with the strip

• Cut it into shorter sections, so that it follows uneven terrain
• Trim the edges into an irregular shape, a straight line gives away the artificial origin
• Rub the fibers with your fingers once seated, so that they do not line up in one direction
• Match the shade to the surroundings with a light dusting of pigment or a thinned paint
