Fine Turf scatter, a blend of green shades

Fine Turf is a small dyed foam granulate intended for covering terrain over an area. The designation fine means the smallest grain size, which suits lawns, meadows and surfaces observed from a distance, where coarser material would look inappropriately generous. A blend of several green shades in one package also heads off the uniform carpet effect, because the area has an uneven color by the very nature of the material.

Use

• Paint the base an earth or muted green shade, so that it does not show through.
• Apply PVA glue and pour the scatter evenly through a fine sieve.
• Once dry, tap or vacuum the excess off and use it again.
• For accents add coarser scatter, foliage or static grass.

Tips for a faithful result

Fine scatter is the base layer, and a good one to build on. Leave irregularities and places with soil showing through on the area, because a perfectly continuous lawn looks like a model. Make the transitions between areas soft rather than a sharp edge. Fix the finished covering with thinned PVA glue from a dropper and let it dry slowly, so that the surface does not warp.
