A meadow in June has exactly the color that most people call to mind under the word grass: rich, even, without burned yellow places. A grass sheet measuring 83.8 x 127 cm offers it as a finished area on which building can start at once, instead of waiting for the individual layers to dry.
The backing is vinyl, the flock holds on it firmly and does not come loose during handling. The material does not fade and it stands up to being rolled up again and again. Ordinary scissors are enough for cutting and the edge does not fray; for an irregular outline it is practical to draw round the sheet with a paper template first and only then to cut.
Level green comes across as too tidy without anything being done to it. But it is enough to scrape the flock in a few places into the shape of ruts, to spread a little fine scatter in another tone at the edges of roads, and an area gains depth at once. The seam between the sheet and the terrain around is best masked by loose scatter spread along the whole length of the transition.
The shade corresponds to growth at the time when it is at its densest, so the area suits parkland, a sports ground or the garden of a family house too. There, on the other hand, it pays off to leave the flock as level as possible.
Glue supplied for these mats separately serves for permanent seating. A sheet laid down loose suits temporary views, photography and exhibition tables, where a scene is changed after a few days. This size in particular tends to be the compromise between a roll for a whole layout and a small sheet for one diorama.
