Green Stuff World modeling apron

An apron with the manufacturer's logo, meant for work at the modeling bench. It is neither modeling material nor an accessory for a model but a working and souvenir item. During building and painting it is the front of your clothing and the sleeves that get dirty most, exactly where the drops of paint, wash or sanding dust land. The apron covers that part and is taken off after the work along with the dirty residue.

Use

• Wear it while airbrushing, applying washes and pigments and mixing two-part compounds.
• It is practical while sanding resin parts too, when the dust catches on the apron rather than on your sweater.
• Dried stains from acrylics or from resin usually cannot be removed from fabric completely any more, so deal with stains at once.
• The apron does not replace a respirator or safety glasses, which should be used separately.

Why it comes in handy

Modeling work makes a different kind of mess than ordinary work around the house. A drop of acrylic can be washed out; oil paint, pigment and above all super glue cannot, and two-part compounds set permanently in fabric. The apron catches that layer and at the same time keeps small tools away from a sweater that would otherwise pick up the dust from sanding resin.
