It is neither a kit nor a paint, but a softcover book in the English language with an extent of 56 pages. The text explains clearly what a filter is, what it is mixed from and how it is applied to plastic models of equipment, to figures and to diorama accessories.
The handbook will be appreciated by modelers who have already mastered basic painting and want to move on to weathering the surface, but also by advanced builders who want to arrange the procedure into a system. Given the English language, at least a basic reading knowledge of English is a prerequisite; a large part of the information is conveyed through photographs, however, so the text serves rather as an accompaniment to a picture guide. The book also suits as a gift alongside paints and thinners, because the filter technique on its own, without an explanation, tends to be a frequent source of ruined models.
