Abteilung 502 Gulf War Sand

Gulf War Sand is a fine weathering pigment (a loose powder) from Abteilung 502. The light desert sand shade is intended for weathering models and dioramas on desert themes. It is not an opaque paint but a pigment that is applied to a finished, painted model.

Use

  • Sand deposits on vehicles from desert operations in the Middle East
  • Dust-covered landing gear, tracks and vehicle undersides
  • Light dust on the gear of figures and on diorama terrain
  • Applied dry with a soft brush and sealed with a pigment fixer or mineral spirits

Who it is for

For modelers of modern and historical desert vehicles and for builders of dioramas with sandy, arid settings.

The pigment is a fine powder: do not inhale it and work in a well-ventilated space. Keep out of the reach of children.
