Hull Tex Anti-Slip Standard Type, 2 x 20 ml

An antislip surface is among the details you see on a model at once, and yet it is hard to imitate with paint. Hull Tex is a texturing product meant exactly for that: it is applied to the area where a coarser, grainy surface is to appear, and once dry it holds a texture that can be painted over as usual. The Standard Type variant has an even distribution of the grain; a variant with an irregular structure also exists. The package contains two 20 ml bottles.

Use

• Degrease the base and leave it smooth; the texture should come only from the coat applied
• Apply it to a defined area and mask the boundaries with tape in advance
• Suitable for the decks and walkways of ships, for the engine covers and fenders of vehicles and for the walkways on aircraft wings
• Keep the coat thin; the coarseness is built up by repeating rather than by a lot of material at once
• Once dry the area can be sprayed as usual, and a dry brush or a darker wash brings the texture out

For modelers of ships, military vehicles and aircraft who want to create antislip areas directly on the model instead of gluing photo-etched or self-adhesive parts on. It also suits diorama elements where a surface is meant to be rough.

Keep out of the reach of children, work in a ventilated room and follow the manufacturer's instructions on the packaging. The drying time depends on the thickness of the coat and on the conditions in the room.
