A modeling paint from AMMO of Mig Jimenez, manufacturer's part number A.MIG-0265. The green shade of the upper surfaces of Imperial Japanese Navy aircraft built by Mitsubishi.
Responsibility details are not available.
The green of the upper surfaces of Japanese naval aircraft of the Second World War was not a single color. The individual aircraft factories mixed the paint according to their own practice and their supplies of raw materials, so a machine from one production line looked different from the same type from another. This shade corresponds to the finish attributed to machines built by Mitsubishi; the same range also lists the greens of other Japanese makers under their own codes, so models that would otherwise come out the same can be told apart.
The paint belongs to the AMMO of Mig Jimenez modeling range and is listed under the code A.MIG-0265. The thinner and the thinning ratio follow the manufacturer's instructions on the packaging; use the thinner intended for this range, because another solvent can curdle or dull the finish. Stir the bottle thoroughly before each use, so that the settled pigment returns into the paint and the shade stays the same even after a long stand.
The most even coat comes from an airbrush and several light passes, letting the paint flash off between them. Wash and degrease the surface of the model beforehand and apply a primer, otherwise the shade holds less well on smooth plastic. On Japanese machines chipped and worn paint is often shown on the edges of panels and in the places where the ground crew walked; apply the base for such work as a continuous coat and deal with the wear only once it has dried. When applying with a brush, work in thin coats and do not go back over a drying area with a stroke.
Thinner, brushes, masks and an airbrush are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
