A modeling paint from the IONIC range by AMMO of Mig Jimenez. The shade is listed under the name Deep Violet. The name points to a saturated violet with great depth of tone, which on a model looks full and rich. The IONIC range carries violet shades in several positions alongside one another, from light to dark, and this one is among the saturated ones.
It comes into its own as the full color of cloaks, hoods, armor and the fabric parts of figures and on prominent areas of fantasy machinery. It also works well on magical effects and glowing elements, where it forms a saturated center that is then brightened at the edges with a lighter tone. It can also be used as a shadow color under brighter violet and purple areas.
Shake the bottle thoroughly before use so that the pigment is evenly stirred. Saturated violets tend to be translucent, so expect several thin coats and let each one dry; one heavy coat floods a raised surface. On a lighter base the color comes out brighter; on a dark one it looks darker. For an airbrush, thin it with the thinner intended for this range according to the manufacturer's instructions on the packaging and try the ratio out first on a scrap piece of plastic.
It suits both figure modelers and builders of fantasy machinery who want a saturated violet without mixing tones of their own. Wipe the thread after work and close the bottle carefully. The model, brushes, thinner and varnish are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
