A modeling paint from the IONIC range by AMMO of Mig Jimenez. The shade is listed under the name Misty Grey. The name names a light, slightly clouded gray with no strong color cast. Neutral grays like this are among the most used in any set, because they stand beside any color and do not draw attention away.
It is used on light stone bases, on masonry and rubble in a diorama, on cloaks and fabric in a light version, on smoke and mist suggested by spraying and for brightening darker gray areas. It also serves well as a light base under saturated colors that cover poorly on their own; on a light gray they come out brighter than on a dark surface. It comes into its own on figures as much as on vehicles and scenery.
Shake the bottle thoroughly before use. Apply in thin coats and let each one dry; one heavy coat floods a raised surface and the detail is lost in it. Light grays suit dry-brushing well, which pulls out the edges of stone and masonry; wipe the brush dry before the stroke, or the paint will fill the recesses as well. For an airbrush, thin the paint with the thinner intended for this range according to the manufacturer's instructions on the packaging and try the ratio out on a scrap piece of plastic.
It suits modelers of figures, vehicles and dioramas who need a neutral light gray for brightening and for stone surfaces. Wipe the thread after work and close the bottle carefully. The model, brushes, thinner and varnish are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
