The IONIC Tanned Flesh modeling paint from AMMO of Mig Jimenez. A darker, tanned skin shade for figures and busts.
Responsibility details are not available.
Tanned Flesh is a tanned skin tone from the IONIC range by AMMO of Mig Jimenez. Compared with light flesh shades it is darker and warmer, so it suits figures who spend most of their time outdoors: soldiers in the field, sailors, workers or people of southern countries. The difference between a tanned face and lighter hands under a sleeve is clearly visible on a figure and is worth capturing.
Besides skin on its own it also serves as a shadow tone under lighter shades. Laid into the recesses, that is the eye sockets, the area under the cheekbones and the folds of skin on the neck, it gives a face a depth that the base tone alone cannot. It works on small figures too, where no shading is done but the skin should still look sunlit.
Stir the contents before use, as the pigment settles. Use the thinner intended for this range; the thinning ratio is given on the packaging. Apply the paint in thin coats and let the surface dry between them, or a deposit will build up in the recesses and blind the face. On larger figures it pays to blend the transition between the tanned and the lighter skin with heavily thinned paint, so that the boundary is not sharp. Try the shade on a piece of plastic before you decide.
A brush, thinner and other shades are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
