A modeling paint from the IONIC range by AMMO of Mig Jimenez. The shade is listed under the name Tentacle Pink. The name points to the saturated, fleshy pink that tentacles, gills and other wet organic parts on models of monsters tend to have. Compared with an ordinary light pink it is darker and fuller, so on a figure it looks alive rather than chalky.
It comes into its own above all on fantasy and horror subjects: on tentacles, maws, tongues and other soft parts of creatures, but also on the inside of ears and on the flushed places of skin on human figures. It also holds up as a mid tone that you brighten upwards with a lighter pink and pull downwards with a dark violet or a dark red; transitions in this part of the spectrum follow on from one another without a jump.
Shake the bottle thoroughly before use so that the pigment is evenly stirred. Apply in thin coats and let each one dry; one heavy coat floods a raised surface and the fine shapes are lost in it. On organic areas it pays to thin the paint at the edges and blend it out, so that the transition does not stay hard. For an airbrush, thin it with the thinner intended for this range according to the manufacturer's instructions on the packaging and try the ratio out on a scrap piece of plastic.
It suits above all modelers of figures and fantasy subjects who need a lively pink tone for organic parts. Wipe the thread after work and close the bottle carefully. The model, brushes, thinner and varnish are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
