Wine Red is a dark wine red from the IONIC range by AMMO of Mig Jimenez. A tone shifted toward the dark looks noble and calm, so it suits anywhere red is to be present but not loud. On figures it is the usual color of cloaks, coats, caparisons and pennants, and on models of upholstery, seat covers and the fabric parts of an interior.
Besides areas of its own it serves well as a shadow tone under a brighter red. If you lay it into the folds of fabric and leave the brighter red only on the raised places, clothing gains a depth that a flat coat cannot give. It is also usable as a base on which a lighter red covers more easily than on bare plastic.
Stir the contents of the bottle every time; the pigment settles at the bottom. Thin it solely with the thinner intended for this range and keep to the ratio the packaging gives. Dark shades tend to flood fine relief, so apply thin coats and let the surface dry between them. The folds of fabric come out if you run a lighter tone over them with a dry brush once dry. Close the bottle well after work so that the paint does not thicken.
