Italeri round brush no. 3/0 is an extremely fine round brush for the smallest detail — the eyes of figures, instrument dials, small inscriptions. It is a modeling tool, not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
A round modeling brush from Italeri in the extremely fine size 3/0. It is a tool for painting — not a kit; there is no model in the package. The designation with a slash works the other way round from what you might expect: the higher the number before the zero, the thinner the brush. So triple zero is among the thinnest sizes commonly used in modeling — the head of bristles is barely thicker than a pencil lead and ends in a sharp point.
Triple zero holds very little paint. That is both its strength and the price it exacts: it allows a stroke as thin as a hair, but you have to dip it often and thin the paint well, otherwise it dries before you finish the stroke. As soon as it is not a hairline but a small solid object — a button, a buckle, a piece of equipment — the endless refilling of paint will hold you up and a size 0, one step larger, will do a better job. The shape of the brush, on the other hand, is deliberate: a round head tapers to a point and keeps that point, which is why it aims at detail; a flat brush with a straight edge is a tool for flat areas.
For figure painters and modelers who do detail on the edge of visibility and want the thinnest thing that can still be controlled at hand.
Paints and thinners are not included in the package. Thinners and mineral spirits are flammable, so work in a ventilated room.
