A bust from the Journeyman Miniatures line with the subject of the Japanese warrior shinobi. Intended to be painted.
Responsibility details are not available.
A bust from the Journeyman Miniatures line with the subject of a shinobi, as a warrior trained for secret tasks was called in Japan; in Europe the word ninja took hold for the same thing. The subject stands on a shrouded character, of whom you see little face and much fabric, and that is exactly what makes it a rewarding model for painting. The look of the character, the size and the number of parts are not stated here, so go by the data on the box.
Before painting, wash and degrease the bust so that the coat holds. Cut away the excess material left from production with a sharp blade a little way from the part and carefully sand the remainder down. Apply the paint in thin coats. Dark fabric is treacherous in that black on its own looks flat: start therefore from a dark blue-gray base, darken the recesses and on the contrary draw the edges of the fabric out with a lighter shade. Only this difference gives the folds a shape. Do the face and the bared hands last, so that a different structure is seen on them than on the fabric.
For a collector who wants to stand one striking character in a display case, and for a modeler who enjoys work with fabric and with dark shades. Anybody who wants to learn to work with black so that it does not stay flat will find a good model here.
Paints, brushes and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
