A three-part package for a model of the ship Kongo from the Fujimi 421629 kit contains, according to the name, deck covering, masking film and photo-etched metal.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set is intended for the Fujimi 421629 kit of the Japanese ship Kongo and brings together deck covering, masking film and photo-etched items. The scale is not written in the name, so check that it matches your kit by its dimensions. The plastic moldings of the ship are not included.
The Kongo was laid down in 1911 at a British yard and became the last large Japanese warship ordered abroad. She was originally built as a battlecruiser with eight 35.5 cm guns, but two rebuilds gave her the performance and the armor of a fast battleship. She shelled American positions off Guadalcanal, fought in Leyte Gulf and in November 1944 an American submarine sank her in the strait off Taiwan. To the end of her career she kept the reputation of the most agile heavy unit of her fleet.
First finish the hull and the superstructures, then fit the film where it is to protect the grain, and only at the end does the covering with the metal details come. Remove the film shortly after the paint has dried at a slight angle, so that the edge is not torn off. Level the metal items on glass beforehand and tap them down with tweezers.
