A set of painting masks from the Czech maker Eduard for a kit of the modern VT-4 main battle tank in 1:35 scale. It is not a model, but an accessory for clean painting. The masks are of thin self-adhesive film and follow the shape of the parts, so cutting by hand and taping up are no longer needed.
The VT-4, also known under the designation MBT-3000, is a modern Chinese third-generation main battle tank intended above all for export. It is armed with a 125 mm smoothbore gun and powered by a capable turbocharged diesel engine. Its running gear has a row of wheels with rubber tire bands.
The masks let you separate the color of the rubber tire bands of the road wheels from the metal centers and paint other small areas, such as the vision blocks, cleanly. An accurate boundary arises without the tedium of covering them up by hand.
This is an accessory to a plastic kit. The model itself, paints and glue are not included in the package.
