A generous set of plant material with glue: foliage, bushes and scrub for greening an area of approximately 122 x 244 cm.

An empty board with a uniform green area comes across as dead. It lacks what creates depth in nature: bushes of varying height, a denser copse by a road, lower scrub by a wall. It is for this layer that the set is intended, and there is so much of it in it that it covers an area of roughly 122 x 244 cm, that is approximately three square meters.
The basis is plant material in several forms and shades, complemented by glue, so there is no need to look for anything else. The material can be torn into tufts of various sizes, which in building greenery matters more than its quantity: bushes of the same size at regular spacing give a model landscape away at first glance.
It pays off to go from the tallest shapes to the lowest. First the bulky bushes are placed, which break up the plane, then lower scrub is added along fences and walls and finally the transitions are softened with fine material. A tuft is torn through with the fingers before gluing, so that it is not round; an irregular outline looks more faithful than a smoothed ball.
Greenery is not meant to be spread evenly. In nature it grows where damp stays and where nobody has mown it, that is by ditches, along fencing and in the places machinery cannot reach. Open areas in the middle of a field or by the tracks are meant to stay bare.
It is a good idea to mix the shades even within one bush. A darker core and a lighter edge imitate how the light falls on a plant, and a scene stops coming across as flat.
