Lifecolor matte royal blue FS35050 is a saturated matte shade of blue that appears on ground vehicles on markings and on machines outside combat schemes.
Responsibility details are not available.
A saturated blue is not a camouflage field, and the camouflage of ground vehicles as a rule avoids it. That, however, is not the end of its usefulness — rather the opposite. Blue appears on vehicles everywhere the machine is meant to be seen, or where it fills a role other than a combat one: on airfield and harbor vehicles, on vehicles of peacekeeping missions, on service and fire-fighting machines and on markings and symbols on camouflaged vehicles. The name of the shade gives the number of the American Federal Standard color standard, FS35050, and the matte degree of sheen.
Where you will use it on a model
Blue fields and markings are often masked against a lighter base, and that is exactly where it pays to hold the mask pressed onto the surface. A sharp edge is what you want on markings, unlike the boundaries of camouflage fields, where a soft transition is far more often the right choice.
For modelers of vehicles outside combat schemes and for anyone finishing the markings on a camouflaged vehicle.
Keep the paint out of the reach of children and, when spraying, work in a well-ventilated space.
