An emerald green with gloss is something other than the matte camouflage green of upper surfaces: Lifecolor Gloss Emerald FS14066 is a saturated green shade for markings, stripes and colored elements laid on finished camouflage.
Responsibility details are not available.
A green shade with a gloss surface from the Lifecolor acrylic range, marked in the name with the number FS14066 from the American Federal Standard color standard. The manufacturer gives the degree of sheen in the name, so it is immediately clear that this is not a faded camouflage green but a saturated gloss tone.
A modeler has dozens of green shades for aircraft and they are easily mixed up. The camouflage greens of upper surfaces are muted and faded, because they were meant to hide the aircraft against the terrain. An emerald green does just the opposite: it is saturated, clean and glossy, that is, meant to be seen. On an aircraft it therefore appears in squadron stripes, in decorative borders around national insignia, in lettering, in the markings of tail surfaces and in the color schemes of demonstration and training machines.
On a real aircraft a colored stripe wrapped around the fuselage or across the wing regardless of where the camouflage ended and the lower surface began. That is exactly why it is good to paint the dividing line first and run the colored element across it only afterwards. When a green stripe lies exactly on the boundary between the upper and the lower surfaces, it gives away every inaccuracy in both layers at once.
For modelers who are finishing the markings of an aircraft and need a saturated green with a surface of its own, and for everyone who paints the colored elements of vehicles, where green is meant to look clean and strong.
Mix the contents thoroughly before use, close the bottle carefully after work and work in a well-ventilated space. Keep out of the reach of children.
