Leaf Scene Moulding - Oak Leaf from U-STAR is a modeling punch with which you cut small oak-shaped leaves from thin material for trees, bushes and diorama greenery.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a modeling tool, not a kit and not finished greenery. The tool works on the principle of a punch: you place thin material between the two parts, press or tap, and you get a small leaf with the right outline and with its shape suggested. Cutting hundreds of leaves a few millimeters across by hand is practically impossible, while with a punch you make them identical over and over and in the quantity a diorama scene needs.
An oak leaf has characteristic lobed edges that are recognizable even in a small scale. It suits specimen trees, woodland scenery and an autumn layer of fallen leaves.
Color the material before punching, over the whole area and ideally on both sides, because painting finished leaves is slow and the leaves curl up. Do not rely on a single shade of green: mix two or three closely related greens and add a little yellow or brown, and a finished canopy then does not look artificial. Glue the leaves with thin cement or with scenery glue in small batches. Prepare the punched leaves in a dish in advance and the work then flows.
For builders of dioramas, modelers of layouts and anyone who displays models on a scene and wants realistic greenery instead of generic foam scatter. The tool is used over and over, so it pays off even on a single larger project.
The tool has sharp edges. Use it on a firm surface, out of the reach of children, and keep your fingers away from the working part.
