Lichen in a spring green shade, small bag holding 1.41 dm³. Natural material for bushes, scrub and the crowns of small trees.
Responsibility details are not available.
Among scenery materials lichen is unusual in that its branching formed in nature, not in a factory. That is exactly why a believable bush comes out of it in a few seconds: tear a piece off and spread it out. According to the manufacturer's data the small bag holds 1.41 dm³, that is 86.6 cubic inches of material, which given how airy it is makes for a fairly generous bag.
The shade matches fresh leaves in the first weeks of the growing season and suits scenes from spring and early summer above all. On the crowns of small trees, on hedges and on scrub between buildings it can be used straight from the bag, with no further work. Anyone who wants a finer surface coats the finished piece with glue and sprinkles fine turf over it, which softens the coarser texture and creates the impression of dense foliage. In larger scales such an added step is almost a necessity, because the bare structure would be too obvious there.
The material is not cut with a knife but torn with the fingers, so that the branch tips keep their natural ends. It is glued down with white glue, or with a small drop of cyanoacrylate. Store it in a closed bag, because in open air the material dries out over time, grows brittle and snaps when bent. A dried piece can be briefly moistened and regains its springiness. For that reason do not keep the bag near a radiator or in direct sun.
