LIGHT DUST is a ready-made liquid enamel effect (a synthetic, solvent-based formula) in a bottle with a volume of 35 ml that dries matte. Beware of confusing it: it is not a pigment powder but a thin, light-toned enamel paint that simulates settled fine dust on equipment, dioramas and aircraft. Nor is it a kit: it is a modeling chemical product for weathering finished models. The light, dusty shade suits horizontal surfaces, fenders, the lower parts of the body, the running gear and everywhere dust really does settle.
Apply over a cured finish, as the excess is easiest to control and to remove cleanly with thinner on a glossy or semi-gloss surface. Always work over fully dry paint so that the thinner does not attack the base; if in doubt, try the effect on a hidden area. It is a good idea to seal the finished weathering with a matte varnish.
For modelers of military equipment, civilian vehicles, aircraft and dioramas who want to create realistic light dust quickly and under control. The application is forgiving: as long as the effect has not dried it can be weakened with thinner or removed entirely, so it suits less experienced modelers as well.
A solvent-based modeling chemical product and flammable. Work in a well-ventilated area, protect your skin and airways (use a respirator when spraying and do not breathe in the aerosol) and avoid contact with the eyes. Keep out of the reach of children and away from sources of fire and open flame.
